Our Responsibilities as Your Local Scaffolder
As your scaffolder, we recognise the importance of health and safety in everything we do. That’s what Access One is proud to be a Worksafe member.
Worksafe is a premier health and safety regulator in New Zealand. Their key roles within the health and safety program of any business include:
- Regulatory confidence
- Harm prevention
- System leadership
By combining all three efforts, Worksafe collaborates regularly with businesses to promote best practices that keep workers safe on a daily basis. That includes educating business owners, employees, and representatives on how to stay safe, and ensuring they are putting those practices into their daily work routines.
How Scaffolders Can Stay Safe
At Access One, we take our relationship with Worksafe seriously and pride ourselves on following and exceeding all health and safety regulations. Our roles and responsibilities for any scaffolding job include providing a safe and secure work environment, ensuring safe use and handling of plant, structures, and substances, and providing easily-accessible facilities for workers.
We also educate and train our workers on safety practices and procedures so they understand the importance of following those rules and regulations for the wellbeing of everyone involved. While on the job, we continuously monitor their health conditions as well as those best practices in order to reduce the risk of injury or illness.
Finally, we take the job site itself seriously by ensuring it is secure every evening, so no one with unauthorised access can get in and risk injury.
By working with Worksafe, we have made a commitment to the health and safety of our workers, and our responsibility to ensure they are able to return home safely each night.
